If you have bought the Drinkwell fountain for your pets, this is a mandatory accessory. These brushes make it very easy to keep your fountain clean and keep your pets from drinking stagnant water. The handles make them easy to grip and use, and the brushes make sure you get every nook and cranny. Highly recommended.
I can’t imagine how someone could keep their drinkwell clean w/o these brushes. Some other reviewer said that small aquarium brushes and pipe cleaners work better – who’s got time for that? For $9 you have tools that work perfectly, and are custom-made for the unit. I’d pay 3x the price and still think they were worth it. Don’t hesitate – you’ll be thankful you have them.
The drinkwell fountain can get a lot of goop in the crevices, and this cleaning kit is perfect to get into the nooks and crannies so that bacteria and mold don’t invade your pet’s drinking water. Great!
The kit had obviously been opened and returned. It contains 3 useful brushes, but one of them had obviously been used before being returned… gross!
Since the whole kit was 8.99 + free shipping, I didn’t want to spend $5 to return and wait for a refund. I threw out the brush that had been used and I am using the other two.
The brushes themselves are uniquely sized and shaped to fit the cracks and crevices of the fountain. I wish I had the one I had to throw out.
My advice is to get the brushes… but maybe from a store.
I bought this cleaning kit when I bought the pet fountain. These are nice brushes but I have not used them for cleaning the fountain. I just put all the pieces of the fountain, except the pump-of course, in the dishwasher. The bigger pieces need to go on the bottom rack of the dishwasher, so remember to turn off the heat dry and air dry that load. The pump can easily be cleaned with a Q-tip.
