 Excellent cat litter catcher August 23, 2008
This is an excellent product for anyone who does not want cat litter tracked throughout the house. However, if you have a cat like mine who likes to take a flying leap out of the cat box then you might want to consider getting the bigger mat.

It is way too small to be effective and it just doesn't hold litter as well as it should so that I currently have litter all over my rug. I use Fresh Step clumping litter, a litter box with a shield I bought off amazon, and I have three medium sized kitties. I used to have a Cats Rule litter mat and, though it was pricey at $19.99, I have to admit it was doing a great job. I wish I hadn't thrown it out, but my cats had scratched it up badly.

Yes, this does a very good job of catching the little bits tracked from the litter box. On the down side, it's too small and doesn't catch all of the litter bits from all the steps so I've had to add a "back-up" rug.
