| Editorial Reviews:
From the Manufacturer The Pulstar pulse plug represents the first technological advancement in spark plug design in the past 100 years. Enerpulse, the manufacturer of the Pulstar pulse plug, develops environmentally-friendly ignition products through the application of Pulsed Power Technology (PPT). Pulstar pulse plugs were designed to increase peak power of the spark plug so it can ignite gasoline in the engine's cylinder more completely with less cycle-to-cycle variation. The result is more engine torque, more horsepower, and better fuel economy. Test results show significant improvements over spark plugs. View Larger | Better Fuel Economy Pulstar pulse plugs improve engine efficiency at the very moment of ignition by increasing the spark volume and energy density. Increasing the energy density of the spark makes ignition more precise with less cycle-to-cycle variation resulting in better fuel economy and driving performance than available from spark plugs. Increase Horsepower and Torque Pulstar pulse plugs look and fit like spark plugs, but incorporate an internal capacitor to deliver a spark 10 times more powerful than a spark plug. This faster ignition burns more of the fuel in the combustion chamber, generating more pressure in the cylinder. The increased cylinder pressure pushes the piston down with more force, which in turn, generates more torque to the crankshaft, more liveliness to the throttle, and more power to the wheels. The Pulse circuit releases a powerful pulse of power. View Larger | Test Data Recent tests demonstrate that Pulstar pulse plugs improved the fuel economy on 2005 and 2007 Prius Hybrid vehicles by 6% to 8%, or approximately 3-mpg. This 3-mpg increase produced by Pulstar means that over its life of approximately 4 years, carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by 1,344 pounds or over half a ton, making it evident even small changes like changing your spark plugs can translate into big differences for the planet. Product Guarantee Pulstar pulse plugs are safe to use in all vehicles. They come with a 30-day no questions asked return policy and are guaranteed not to void your car's manufacturer warranty or damage your engine when properly installed.

Pulstar Pulse Plug Vs. Bosch Platinum +4 July 6, 2008 It doesn't feel really out performing my Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs. It doesn't justify to pay for Pulstar Pulse Plug at $24.99 a piece. My Bosch Platinum +4 spark plug is $5.99 a piece only. If you are using conventional spark plugs you might feel the performance difference.
Pulstar Spark Plugs July 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed the Pulstar plugs in my 2008 Subaru Outback. I had been getting 27 - 27.2 MPG. The plugs have about 700 miles on them and the MPG has increased to 28.5 under the same conditions. The instructions say that you should give it a couple of tanks of gas before the computer recognizes the plugs and appears that this is true. The car seems to have more "Pick Up". At the present MPG it will take about 15000 miles before pay back is achieved.
Pulse plugs are the wave of the future July 1, 2008 These are one of the best things I've done for my car lately besides FilterMag. Since I didn't reset my cars computer (ECM) by removing the battery terminals it took about a week before I really began to notice the difference. The car runs much better with more power and no hesitation like in the past. I liked these so much I got the DirectHits add-on version for my Harley. Definately well worth the money! ***** rating in my book!
Roar! June 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I watched my MPG like a hawk for about 3 weeks before installing these. Now that they are installed I noticed a few things.
1. My car is louder, much louder. It used to whipser, now it growls.
2. My car does get better gas mileage. On inclines where I was dropping to 25 MPG I now maintain at 27. On straightaways I used to hover right around 41, now I stay around 43. On average probably 2 miles to the gallon better.
3. This could easily be personal bias, but I really feel like it has a ton more get up and go now. I can't say for sure how much of it is psychological and how much of it is real, but that is how it feels.
For reference my car is a 2007 Yaris Sedan with an automatic transmission.

I put these plugs on an 03 Acura CL-S 6pd wit 78,000 miles on it. Didn't improve anything. I guess they think it helps gas mileage by making your wallet lighter. Har har har... Stick with OEM.
