 Very nice, but it could use some RD October 25, 2008
I bought this knob about 14-15 months ago, and I've had it in my Subaru ever since. Nice JDM piece, looks nice, as long as you like cue-balls. My first gripe is that it doesn't have a collar, so the shift boot falls down sometimes. br /br /Then one day I went to shift and I could feel that the ball was loose, and I had to pull over and re-tighten the ball onto the hexagonal nut thing that holds it on the shifter. br /br /My main concern is that a few months ago, a large crack formed in the side of the ball. I suspect that the resin simply got too hot in the sun or got too cold overnight, or both. The benefit of resin, however, is that it doesn't get as hot as some metal knobs. br /br /I recommend this product if you don't mind replacing it with a new or different knob after a while.

This shift knb is exactly what i was looking for. All i found in the regular auto stores were some cheap and/or oddly imoposing knobs that didnt quite fit in with my import's interior. This shift knob is Japanese made so it is intended for use in several Japanese makes/models. Worth the price. You won't regret it.
