unreliable October 19, 2008 I received this as a gift 3 years ago and pull it out each year and recharge it. This year the main battery is dead and won't recharge even though the green light indicates it's fully charged. The flashlight works and does recharge. A replacement battery is over $30.00 with shipping. The unit does work when it's plugged in(not its intended purpose), but the radio only works on am/fm with just static on the other channels. I wouldn't buy one of these.
Worked Great!! June 13, 2008 The power went out Monday about 5:00pm and I used the Storm Station until it came back on Thursday just before noon. It worked absolutely perfectly. One reviewer (Maria Something) must not have bought the same product. I couldn't find ANYTHING to criticize about the Storm Station.
Storm Station February 8, 2008 Got this for my sister in Tennessee. She has had to use this over and over again. It comes in very handy with all the power outage storms
Bad customer service! January 25, 2008 DO NOT BUY A BLACK DECKER STORM STATION! Critical parts such as the flashlight are no longer available. Black Decker expresses zero concern about their total lack of customer parts service. Black Decker is off my shopping list forever. Don't buy from a company who cares not one iota about customer service and satisfaction.

Nice item for emergency use, have not had to use it of late. However, the flashlight has issues as far as keeping charged and the bulb which did not have many hours use crapped out fo no reason. I would not purchase this item.
