| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review This tenderizer not only hastens the cooking and marinating time of meats, fish, and poultry, it also significantly improves the flavor and texture of gamier meats such as venison or pheasant. In addition, the tenderizing process reduces shrinkage during cooking, so meat retains much of its original, pre-cooked size. 48, razor-sharp, stainless-steel prongs aligned in three rows of 16 blades each; pierce any cut of meat--including entire roasts, chickens, or turkeys. This tool can be used to prep food for any cooking method, whether it be grilling, baking, braising, broiling, or roasting. A rectangular-shaped, plastic handle and plastic cover safely contain the tool's super-sharp blades during storage. For easy cleanup and hygienic safety, the tenderizer is dishwasher-safe. Deni's parent company, Keystone Manufacturing Company, provides a two-year, limited warranty on this product. --Cristina Vaamonde

Deni 48 tenderizer August 22, 2008 BUY IT! Price varies, $19.00 is a good entry point. Used it on a Sirloin bottom Ball cut, normally TOUGH. Pricked liberally, both sides, a 'lil Adolph tenderizer, 3 min. in a G.Foreman grill. Literally fell apart, tender, tasty. I like cubed steaks, but the Butcher version is always full of hidden tough gristle that clogs my teeth. With this wonderful tool, I can prepare a Kill-fur steak meal from a cut that I can trim and inspect. Clean up is no problem, but I store it in the 'fridge or freezer just in case residue will become a problem bacteria-wise. If it gets too gooped up, I'll hit it with my "scunci" steam cleaner. The steam cleaner is great for cleaning the non-submersible G.Foreman thing, incidentally.
Very happy with this June 14, 2008 this item is great. I was making Swiss Steak with a fork previously, so I was very glad to get this and I think I made a great choice. works well and cleans up well with a spray bottle with bleach water.
What more can I say...It really does work June 7, 2008 I have seen this product for years but was leary to buy it. I now can say in all honesty it does work just like it says. Meats are so easy to tenderize in an instant. Be carefull of your fingers as it is very very sharp.
Great Meat Temderizer June 5, 2008 I already had one of these tenderizers and I liked it so well I bought two more for friends of mine as gifts.
Like Budda.... May 25, 2008 Used on some thicker cuts of steak, lower in cost but usually had good flavaor. It was like we were eating some Filets!! Fantastic....
