 Fun toy for the summer June 2, 2008
Nephew loves the football, and tries to throw it faster each time to improve the distance.

We bought this for our kids for Christmas, it was a bad decision. It worked (sort of) for about 30 minutes. By 'sort of' I mean that it actually registered numbers, although even my 12 and 9 year old realized that the 30, 35, 40 yard throws they were generating were probably not really that long. Then, after one bounce off the concrete parking lot versus the grass, the LCD display stopped working. Not only that, the plastic casing for the LCD was soft enough that the impact created a sharp ridge which ended up cutting all 3 of us (small cuts on hands fingers) before we realized what had happened! NOT a quality toy! Buy a real football and measure by yardlines, you'll be happier!!

I'm the mom. I didn't actually play with the product. My husband and boys (4 6 year olds) played with it. My husband said it wasn't very accurate. The boys got it for Christmas and don't seem very interested in playing with it -- but they are more interested in baseball and soccer which may be the issue. br /br /After the first time playing with it, the paint/logo is peeling off the football. I have to say that concerns me with all of the recalls from China regarding lead paint. My 4-year old still likes to put things in his mouth sometimes. Hopefully, he won't be eating the football! :-)br /br /If your kids love football, they might get more use out of it. But I wouldn't recommend paying the extra money for the yardage info.

We purchased this ball for our 9yr. old nephew for Christmas, he loved it. He and the boy next door used it for over and hour. They complained a little about reseting it but other than that it was a hit.
