 Very tough!! September 26, 2008
This is the only original toy that my pup still has when I adopted him. He shredded the normal plushies in a few weeks to a month. I had Giraffe feet and elephant trunks flying all over my house! But oh how the opossum overcame the sharpness of puppy teeth. My Beagle pup has been biting,tossing,chewing this furry beast for 6 months and it's still as good as new. Definitely worth the few extra bucks over a generic plushie. :)

We live on a farm and our dogs kill real opossum all the time. We bought these for our dogs birthdays and they love them. They look very real. Our one dog that does not play with toys always stops to sniff them, thinking they might be real.
Stands up to real abuse February 27, 2008
My teen and beagle love to play together. Stuffed dog toys are shredded almost instantly, many haven't made it through an evening of play. We've had this one almost two weeks. It's been played with daily, very very vigorously, with no gaps in the stitching, no loose stuffing. The squeaker stopped squeaking right away, but Wilson can still hear the ball rattling around in there and is just as enthralled by that. For a hunting dog like a beagle, there's nothing better than his own personal possum!
