Does what it says December 31, 2008
I'm happy with my purchase and it indeed does what it was designed to do.br /br /I have to agree that it takes a while to figure out how to set it up but if you follow the instructions its really not difficult. It does the most important part for me perfectly, that is to keep the smell locked up. It is true that the refills are not cheap but having only one cat in the house I figure the ease of use is worth the extra expense.br /br /For the record and to make sure it doesn't happen to you... one big mistake I made with the initial plastic roll that traps the waste (included with the locker)is that I didn't realize the handle does not lock to tell you when the plastic roll runs out as I "assumed" it would. This of course lead to "oops, no plastic left" after I had already dropped the waste in the container (yep, I should have MORON stamped on my forehead for that one). This lead to me cleaning the unit, no biggie, but I will always look inside BEFORE I dump in the future.br /br /I find the best price for the plastic refills is here on Amazon and they come right to my door so all in all I'm a happy camper.br /br /One recommendation I would have is that you buy one or two extra refills when you order the unit so you are not left high and dry when the first plastic roll runs out.br /br /
 Keeps pulling and wasting the bags December 20, 2008
Ugh! I do not know what's happening with this thing. I've had it for about a year, but the last two replacements were wasted when the wheel pulled out too much and it wound around it. I would pull it open to find a loooooong empty blue bag and at the end wound around the wheel and a little bit of litter at the very end. It's just a pain in the butt to shake the litter to the actual end, and then cut off a large amount of the bag (therefore wasting it and having to replace it earlier). br /br /I had hoped that cutting it and resetting the "new end" would fix the problem, but no. It just keeps pulling too much of the bag and wasting it. Yes, it keeps the smell from permeating the room, but it still is wasting the bag and my money. I'm tempted to throw the whole thing out and forget it.

Keep it right next to the litter box and scoop those nasty clumps as they occur! No leaving stinky, loosly tied grocery bags in you garbage can till trash day or in the litter box. Clean and easy to use.
Needs a carry handle November 28, 2008
This is a great product to keep next to the litter box for frequent quick disposal of the soiled litter in the box. Really does seal odors away. I have 2 cats so I scoop a lot yet still using the original refill- going on 3 weeks now. My only complaint is that it does not have some sort of a handle to make it easier to lift or carry.

We got our first at 3 months ago and I was grossed out by the poop smell in our trashcan, even after wrapping up waste after cleaning the cat box. The Litter Locker ended that! With this product clean up is easier and not stinky. We love the Litter Locker!
