 great clipper for cats and dogs August 22, 2008
We used to take our dog in to have her clipped and now do it ourselves, clipper works great, we also used it on our three siamese cats who love their new haircuts. No more hairballs or hair flying around. Some cats don't like to be brushed so they constantly leave fur wherever they lay. We have one cat that doesn't like to be held so we got him something to relax him from the vet that we gave him one hour before shaving, it doesn't knock them out its just for stressful situations and calms them down so its a good idea if you think your pet will flip out to get some meds from the vet first. Also, I wouldn't recommend shaving your cat alone have an assistant to calm and hold the cat still so things go smoothly, I thought all my cats would freak out but they were ok and like I said I gave the male some calming meds. The money we saved on taking out pets in to be cut has already paid for the clippers so its a good investment.
Works on 50 year old model July 8, 2008
I was about to buy a new clipper after the one my wife had been using on my son and me for twenty-five years wore out. I was reading the reviews of the Oster and realized that my wife's father's ancient Oster was the same one being praised for new sales. I bought the attachment and they fit the old one perfectly.
Maybe it should be under a review of the Oster, but her father was a barber who died in 1960 -- but his clipper still works perfectly.

These are nice. They stay very firmly attached to the clippers. They are a little hard to get on, but staying on, is more important. I'm loving my Oster Classic 76 and these clips. A tapered clip for around the ear would be great.

These are very well made combs, and the spring-loaded *metal* attachment system is far superior to the traditional snap on plastic combs. I got this set for my Oster 76, and they work wonderfully.

10 Combs, ranging from size 0 (1/16") to size 10 (1 1/16")
I paid $20 for this set, and am glad I did.
