 My golden loves his Coolaroo bed again January 6, 2009
This replacement cover for the Coolaroo Pet Bed is an excellent deal. Rather than replacing the entire bed, frame and all, this kit allows you to refurbish your dog's bed with a new cover. Surely that's more environmentally friendly than tossing the frame when the cover wears out. The cover is easy to install (with just a large Phillips screwdriver) and holds up surprisingly well, considering my dog's 125lb mass. I would give it 5 stars, but the frame has bent just a little, allowing the cover to sag a little more than when new. Still, I feel the cover replacement is a good value.

Our dogs have been sleeping on this type of bed for several years. They love it and since they are both getting older, one is 7 years and the other is 9 years old, I think it feels great to their aging bodies. The maintenace is also very easy. I wouldn't considering getting any other type of bed for them or any future pets.

Be patient when assembling the bed, other than that, real nice product. Use a blanket in the winter months because the bed keeps the pups very cool.

I was replacing my entire bed before I realized I could just buy a new cover. This is a much cheaper alternative! The beds were lasting about a year. But my dog walks in a circle several times before laying down, not to mention he is 70 lbs - so that may be the reason it wears out more quickly for me. However this last time I replaced it, I put a beach towel down on top of the bed cover. In the colder months I put down a fleece throw. It seems to cushion the wear and tear on the fabric. I've noticed since doing this, the fabric on the cover doesn't appear to be getting as scratched up or becoming thin as it was before. So hopefully this one will last a bit longer.

My 130lb Black Lab "Schooner" loves the coolaroo. He has two, one inside and another outside. The cover is very durable as Schooner 'PLOPS' alot!br /The Coolaroo is also the right size for a basic pet bed during the winter.
