This is a great product. It eliminates the nagging chore of having to eliminate cat waste in plastic bags on a daily basis. It also eliminates the smell. The reason I rated it a 4, rather than a 5 is two-fold. 1. There should be some sort of a handle to grab and carry it. It's a little awkward moving it around, and, 2. The refills are a bit costly. Other than that, it's a great product which eliminates some of the litterbox hassles and gives us more time to spend spoiling our feline children.

The company that made this item must have designed it for mice. The flaw of this device is that it rotates the clumped litter around and around a huge wheel inside the canister. If you place any clumped litter larger than a peanut inside it, every time the wheel rotates around (you are required to do this to "seal" the litter away) it rips the bag on the inside of the canister so you are left with a trail of dirty litter when you empty it in the garbage. Such a huge disappointment. I don't know why they designed it to turn all of the litter every single time it is used. They should have designed it like a Diaper Geenie so that the litter just drops in. I would buy a Diaper Geenie for my cats, but they are sealed at the top and require pressure to place an object inside it. If you tried to use a Diaper Geenie with a scoop full of litter and poo...litter would likely spill all over the place.

The litter locker has been one of the best purchases I have made in a while. In an apartment with 2 cats, the whole cleaning the litter box process was becoming a pain, and very smelly. Its so much easier with the litter locker right next to the litter box and then you just give it one turn and it does NOT smell at all. I took time to read through all the instructions to make sure I was doing it right but overall its pretty easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to any cat owner!

I can't agree more with all the positive reviews. I've had my Litter Locker for a week and it's made the litter-scooping process so much easier and less stinky. It's an ingenious design, and although the thing is all plastic, it looks as if it will last awhile. For me, it was definitely worth the price!

We just got two of these, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs and we love it! The smell is completely vanquished and the item is very easy to use (Once you figure out how to set it up the first time anyway.) There are one or two things that could be a little better however. The big one is that the press-button catch to open the body of the litter locker doesn't lock very solidly, so it's easy to have it flip open while you are carrying it if you aren't careful. It could also use a one-hand carry handle of some sort. The bag cutter is also a little iffy. I had a hard time cutting the bags with it. In spite of these issues it's a fantastic aid to keeping a clean-smell free house with feline friends.
