 Great but pricey August 5, 2008
We bought the medium-sized Furminator to use on both our 30- and 55-pound dogs. One is a border collie mix and one is a shepard mix. The furminator removes huge quantities of undercoat from both dogs. The amount of hair in our house has been significantly reduced. I recommend using the shampoo that goes with the furminator. It makes the coat much easier to comb through. In the end, I guess the reduction of the amount of hair in the house makes the Furminator worth the price.

This is the best shedding tool ever! I highly recommend it for anyone that has a dog that sheds frequently. It's awesome for labradors that tend to shed a lot.

There are lots of things to love about this brush, but the best is that the dog loves it. We have tried other types of brushes with varying efficacy and have found the furminator to work very well while giving the dog a massaging feeling he loves. Don't pay 60.00 + tax at PetSmart. Amazon is the best deal!

I use this on my greyhound and mixed bread dog. This product works pretty good but has yet to prevent the dogs from shedding as stated. The dogs do seem to enjoy getting Furminated...
OMG! A product that lives up to its claim! August 4, 2008
I was at my witts end with dog fur every where. I have 4 dogs; 2 chow chows, 1 chow lab and 1 lab as a result of blending families together. I am sick of finding fur everwhere. I tried changing dog food and suppliments glalore! You name it, I did it. And I am also sick of ruining my vaccumm cleaners. I have resorted to shop vacing before I really vaccuum to ease the wear and tear on the vaccuum.
I am completely shocked at how EASILY this shedding tool works and it didn't make my hands tired! The dogs even liked this product! They didn't grow tired of me brushing them nor did they seem like they were getting irritable with the process. The dog's coat looks more healthy and shines.
This would make a really great gift or donation to a shelter.
