The large FURminator is an absolute miracle for anyone with a German Shepherd (and a German Shepherd mix who inherited the undercoat). While I can't explain how it so gently removes the thick undercoat without pulling at the outer coat, I can say it's already saved me hours of grooming and it's done an exponentially more effetive job than I ever could with any of the other dozen or so tools I've tried. Although I'm probably going to have to come up with some other form of upper body workout to replace the long aerobic brushings I used to force upon my dogs, there are a lot fewer furballs rolling across the tile and both dogs come running when I pick it up so it's making everyone happy.

This product may be great for some breeds but was not the best for my English Cockers.I find the Mars Coat King to be a better all around product.

I have brushed my puggle a few times with this brush. He has a short wire-like coat. I give him a treat/bone to chew on while I brush and he doesn't mind at all. I believe it has decreased his shedding, but he doesn't shed that much anyway.

This product works so well on my German Shepherd! It removes the clumps of fur that would typically end up on my carpet. His shedding has also decreased unbelievably with regular use of the Furminator. It works so much better than regular brushes. However, I have found that it doesn't work as well on dogs with softer coats (i.e. a friend's Golden Retriever). I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who has a dog with thicker, coarser fur.

THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST PRODUCTS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED. MY DOG LOVES IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
