 All it claims, and better (if that's possible) November 4, 2008
I was dubious about the Furminator before trying it -- how could one cat comb be different from another? The Furminator is different! In just a few strokes I was able to remove much more hair than I would have with the cat comb I already had. This is especially good for the cat the doesn't like being combed -- so much more hair can be removed in the couple of strokes I can get in before he refuses any more combing.

PROS: Works like a champ. High quality materials used. Easy to use and clean. Pet actually enjoys it.br /br /CONS: None at this timebr /br /MY TAKE: Worth every penny. This is the only pet brush you will ever need.br /br /After about a dozen brushes I did some research and came across the Furminator. This is the best deshedding/brush that I have ever used with my dog. I have a Lab that sheds nearly year round especially in the summer and this brush works like a champ to pull away the dead hair on his coat. I never knew how much dead hair actually stays in his coat. br /br /After using for the first time, my dogs coat had a better shine, was a lot more smooth, and gave him an all around more healthy appearance. I was shocked at the amount that it pulled out. I brush him out with it every two weeks for around 10-15 minutes. There is noticeably less dog hair in the house and he loves being brushed out with it. Unlike other dog brushes you can fully clean it out and make it look like new in 5 seconds.

I love this thing. Until you use it, you will not believe the amount of hair it will get off your animal. I am buying more for Christmas presents.

We have a siberian husky, and a chessie- the furminator works GREAT on both of them. no more tufts of hair rolling around the house an hour after we vaccuum. It really gets into the undercoat of our husky, and pulls out A LOT of dead hair... it's unreal.br /br /On the chessie (shorter hair)- it's AMAZING how much loose and dead hair comes off of him! his coat looks great now, and no small loose hairs fall off when you scratch/pet him. Can't say enough about this product!

I use this exact comb on my cat, 2 short hair dogs, and a big fluffy dog too!! None of them have ever really enjoyed being brushed, but with this they don't seem to mind so much and it really does a FABULOUS job of getting rid of all the loose hair. Just be prepared w/lots of trash bags!!! :)
