Crate has worked well ... June 9, 2008 This crate is working well for our new, 9-month-old beagle. Plenty of room for her. Also, even with 2 locks, we're finding it easy to open and close. I think the 2 locks make the crate sturdier when you have a rambunctious dog.
Very satisfied May 26, 2008 The crate is of very good quality and a very good price. I priced these at several locations in town, and nothing I found was even close in price for the same quality. I had a savings of about $35 for the same product and it was delivered right to my home. Believe me, it is a good deal. I am a very meticulous comparison shopper.
Divider was a disappointment May 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Since I recently got two puppies, I wanted a way to crate them together yet give both a little private space to retreat to if desired. I assumed I could place the divider right down the middle so each puppy could share in a "duplex" situation. Well, that definitely does not work. If you place the divider in the center, you have to attach it to the door. If you attach it to one side so the door can still be opened, that closed-in side becomes useless. So, I had to go Petsmart and purchase 2 additional Midwest metal dog crates. That solution works, but their play area inside the exercise pen has been dramatically reduced in size because the 2 crates take up so much more space than just the one. Later, I learned I could have purchased a three-door crate that just might have been perfect. Oh well, you learn from your mistakes. Since the crate was well-made and would have worked for just one dog, I gave the product 4 stars.
It was as described and more than adequae May 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Midwest 1636DD Life-Stages Folding Double-Door Metal Dog CrateVery adequate crate. Product is all it was advertised to be.
Great Crate April 15, 2008 This is the second Midwest crate we have owned. The first one we had was for a large dog. We still have it but no longer need it. This little crate is awesome...the two doors come in very handy as you are not limited to where you can put it. Also the divider is really handy when you first bring a puppy home. It folds up really easy and is very easy to put up too. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is a tad heavy, but I also know its a quality material, so I can't complain. I have had some crates that are really tough to latch...this one is easy, but not too easy! I would recommend this crate to everyone!
