Cat Just Licks Wet Food

by I Love Cats

Hi

I have always fed my cat both wet and dry food. But recently he has started to just lick the wet food and doesnt eat it. And consequently wastes a lot. He will eat the dry food but always wants the wet food to lick. He has a bowl of water but never drinks it.

Is it possible to just buy gravy for him to drink??

Regards

Tariq

wet food is actually the best food to feed your animals. pets should have water IN their food. in the wild they would get most of their water from the food, not just plain water.

there's actually a lot more bad bacteria in dry food than wet food. you just have to be careful about your brand choices, and you have to introduce your pet to new food GRADUALLY.

if you suddenly change their food or give them something they don't usually have, it's normal for them to get sick and throw up because it's a shock to their systems.

but you are a vet tech, so i guess you know this :)
