Question About Introducing a New Kitten.

by I Love Cats

Hi Question about introducing a new kitten. I have a 17 year old cat. Hes in good health aside from a few normal things that come along with age hes still active and loves to cuddle. But i was thinking of getting a new kitten. I dont know if that is a bad choice.

My cat has been around other cats. Almost a year ago i had to put my 14 year old cat to sleep, and a few years ago we lost another one. Both of thoes cats grew up with my cat i have now.

My cat now has been alone for almost a year, i dont know how he would react to a kitten. I dont want to freak him out, get him scared or cause any harm to him. So i need some opinions on this. Is it a bad idea to bring a kitten in being my cat is older in age? If i did bring in a kitten what would be the best way to introduce them? My cat right now is a male/neutered, and the kitten im looking at is a female and will be spayed.

I just need some advice on this.

Thank you
