I've just come across a book: 'The Cat Whisperer' by Claire Bessant. I live in the UK and don't know if it is available in the US, but if you can find it it's a wealth of information. My wife and I have had cats for 34 years and thought we knew all there was to know, but we found a lot of new stuff here.

We are going out today to pick up our newest family members - two B&W shorthairs - Sooty and Socks; Didn't President Clinton have a cat called Socks?
