Default A fecal sample was done on my cat. It was determined that they found a parasite in...

This should definitely be treated. Left untreated your cat can have severe diarrhea, weight loss, and dehydration although it is not a disease that we typically consider deadly. One of the biggest considerations is that this can be passed on to other animals and to humans as well. I would talk to your veterinarian about options for medication. We typically use a drug called metronidazole, which works well but can taste very bitter. It can sometimes help to have it put into gelatin capsules so your cat does not taste it. Or perhaps your veterinarian could have it made into a more palatable form. You may also want the staff at the clinic to re-demonstrate how to give you some hints about medicating your cat...sometimes just holding him a different way or using a towel etc. can make a huge difference. There are also little tools called "pill poppers" that can help you get the pill in further and make it go down easier.
