Default mom is biting kitties ears!

Hello everyone! We need your help! My friend's cat is biting her kitties ears while she' feeding them. They already start to have a little scratces. What shell we do? The kitties are only 1,5 month old. Is it better to take them away from her?

Hi Michelle ! That mommy is so nervous, poor mommy, poor kittens.
Yes, I think it's about time, better to take them away from her. You can ask your friend to continue feed the kittens with Kitten Milk and baby food chicken paste (of course if they can eat kitten wet food, then the baby food is not necessary).
Please keep us posted.

Thanks allot! I'll tell her this - i guess it's the best thing to do at the moment. But do u think there is a way to help cat if she's nervous?

Oh, I believe Felliway Plug ins can help reduce and hopefully eliminate her anxiety.

When you talk to a stressed cat, use a slightly higher than normal pitch to your voice and speak very softly. Deep voices create fear and loud voices can be grating on the cat's sensitive ears. You can "stroke" your cat with your voice and this can have a wonderfully soothing and healing effect on your cat.

That's what I can think of so far. Keep us posted.

Yep, unfortunately, for the moment the best will be to separate the Mom from the kitties

Yeah, that what we finally had to do. Both kitties were sent to their new homes. Guess who got one of them?
