Question Finding "poop balls" around the house-help!

We have an 8 mth. old British Shorthair, and since we got her at the age of 3 mths. every now & then we find a small ball of poop around the house. It seems to be more frequent in the last month or so. We feed her a very good quality food and she drinks water every day so I don't think its her diet. She pees and poops in her litter box no problem. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Sorry I can't say that I have, I would suggest that you take her to the vet's to rule out any health problems, other than that I can't help.

Are you finding them in places your cat likes to sleep? When one of my cats was a kitten she'd sometimes wake up, stretch & a small ball of poop would pop out. However this only happened when she was very small & had stopped by the time she reached 8 months. As Maggiemay says I'd get her checked by a vet to be on the safe side.

maybe because she's just 8 months old...
she's still a baby for me...
but the best thing you can do is have her a check up...
you need a vet...

This only happened to me once, but it was by accident. Some poop got attached to my kitty's tail when she exited her litterbox. She's very fluffy.

I don't know if that could be your case too, but I'd recommend you have your cat checked by the vet too.

Would you mind sharing to us your cat's diet? Most likely...that's the cause of her ball-like poop.

She gets dry anytime -using Blue Brand. She gets 2.5 (1/2 can) of Natural Choice at night. If anything, she is a little overweight.

Sometimes this happens with my cat too but it is because a small poop will stick to her fur and not fall off until she is out of the litterbox and out and about in the house. It could be the problem but I would recommend a call to your vet just to be on the safe side.

You sure they are poop balls and not hair balls?

Definitely poop, not hair. We got her from a vet and she thinks she is a little
constipated so we increased her wet food. So far it's helped a little. Thanks all who responded.
