Default Making a Transition.

I'm going off to college soon, and the dorm I'm moving into won't let me have my cat. Luckily, my best friend is attending the same college and has an apartment off-campus. He agreed to take care of her for me, since they get along pretty well.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to make this transition as easy as possible on her. She's not just moving to a new house, she's going to have someone else looking after her.

When I first brought her home (from a shelter), she hid for about an hour, and then she was okay. Whenever we get new furniture or anything, she takes her time sniffing it, but she's usually okay. But she's a housecat, and I don't want to put too much stress on her.
