Default Dirty Bum

Sorry for the title guys but I didn't know how else to put it. Our little Richi is a very smart little kitten and perfectly uses the toilet however we have to clean his paws n bum everytime he uses it otherwise thered be poop all over the apartment n bedsheets. Now its no problem but once we are back to work we are not here to do that.

Has anyone of you had the same problem? Will that jus stop as the cat grows older?

Much luv,Kat

It's not uncommon for a kitten to step in his poop and get it all over. And yes eventually they get the hang of it.

My youngest did it too, but she also had some digestive problems and had soft poop for a while.

There are some things to consider. How big is his litter box? How many? (I recommend two). Uncovered? (I recommend no covers)

Do you scoop everything out daily? ( I recommend twice a day)

How are the consistency of his stools? They should be firm, but not rock hard, and not mooshy, but not really dry. They should be in sections, like little tootsie rolls.

Now, I come back to what I always come back to, diet. What are you feeding him?

They should be in sections, like little Tootsie rolls. It is also depends on what are you feeding him and how many times in a day? You can also get more information about cats from internet.
