She doesn't cry or try to get away when I rub it sh This is an interesting question. We really don't know is the best answer but it could be possible although probably unusual. If it is a recurrent problem I would be more concerned about the possibility of an injury or arthritis in an older cat. If it continues, it probably wouldn't hurt just to have your veterinarian take a feel of the leg and make sure everything is ok. More...
