Not all cats will spray or mark their territory when presented with another cat. It can happen, especially if they are stressed but if you have enough litter boxes, practice good litter box hygiene, neuter your little guy at the appropriate age and keep them active, your chances of having issues with spraying goes down drastically. Congratulations on your new kitten!

But what is the appropriate age for neutering a cat? I really don't like the option of neutering my cat especially if she has a nice breed. Well not anyone, would agree with me on that, but I feel it's nature's gift that they must procreate like humans and I wouldn't want to be a hindrance on that natural phenomena. I love my cats, but they deserve to enjoy life too.
