Default my 4 month old kitten is into everything!! Any suggestions?

I have two beautiful cats, a purbred persian, and I just adopted a little kitten who is now 4 months old. The little one is getting into everything! I have not had her declawed yet and won't be till after Chrstmas...wondering how my tree will with stand her climbing! She loves my plants and has decided that they are play toys...she is such a darling , but I am wondering how long these "terrible twos" stage will last. I need some suggestions from everyone on how to deter her from getting into trouble...

Default huummmm

I guess this place doesn't get alot of people in it, or they jusy read and don't respond. Today my little lovely knocked over my plants...had soil all over her...what a mess! I have resorted to using a water bottle on her when she does stuff like this...what a hellion she is!

Default my little kitty...

she's such a doll, the "terrible twos" is almost over now, she still gets wound up. If she gets into my plants she knows she in trouble, the little hellion does it to keep me and my hunni on our toes. We invested in a water bottle, but do not need to get her to many squirts now.
As for that abuse that I read about - so sad...our persian went through a simliar thing before she came back home again. Someone bought her off my boyfriends mom and neglected her quit abit, for the first little while she jumped at the slightest noise. When we heard what was happening to Ebby (the persian) my boyfriend went and rescued her - the old owner apologized...not good enough for me. Now she is happy, she knows she's in a good home I think. It makes me sad to know that people abuse thier pets.

I have a similar problem with a 6 month old.. I dont know if I'll be able to make it if he stays like this for a whole year and a half more! It's all worth it when he's not into trouble though ^_^

I will commiserate on this one, you would swear we bought a panther the way our kitten stalks through the plants. And tears off the leaves. And leaves dirt all over the room. Love him though.

My cat when he sleeps on a high place like a cabinet would trip things that are nearby and they would fall down. This is one habit I don't like but I can tolerate it.

In my opinion that is a sign that they know you love them and it's because by doing things that are annoying they know you will not get angry and harm them.

Try to give them as many toys as possible to play with, so they have no need to play with everything else. My cats were kittens at christmas time and used to love trying to climb the tree, although after they knocked it down on top of themselves they weren't quite so keen!

LOL i usually limit her to one or 2 rooms by closing the door. I use spray bottles a little bit and i tell her no and clapy my hands. I had 2 kittens who literally brought down the tree one year. They were afraid of the sudden noise and i thought why not clap really close to them and tell them no. If they persisted i said no and clapped again. You need to train her to your voice. She'll stop in about a month.
