Default This is a new one for me involving cat behavior. Any suggestions?

After my wife is done showering, my 20 pounder walks in the shower stall and starts to greedily drink water on the stall floor. He only does it after my wife showers. He doesn't budge after I'm done in the shower. Why would he do this? And maybe more importantly, what is it he finds that makes him go crazy after my wife showers? Thanks,T. Farmer

maybe your wife's shower water is cleaner than yours, or maybe her fruity scented shampoo smells more appealing to the cat.

I would say it probably has to do with the soap your wife uses. It probably has a fragrance in it that draws the cats attention. Hope this helped you.

cats often drink water out of the shower, bath or sink. The water is usually warm and fresh. Do you feed your cat out of plastic bowls? Cats hate plastic containers, they omit a taste into the water. Also, if the cat's whiskers touch the side of the waterbowl, the cat often looks elsewhere for a less annoying source.Your wife might simply shower at a more convenient time, maybe uses a water temperature more suited to his taste or leaves less soap on the floor once finished, making the water cleaner. Don't worry, it's a common thing for cats. Mine do it too..
