Too late.
I don't have idea how to cure it, but cats get used to a place.
They don't leave their place for anything, so your cat is scratching everything because that's not its place.

I've moved a few times with my cats. The only one that caused problems was my calico. I don't know if it's too late, but what I found was find a secluded quiet spot in the house where he can feel secure(you might have to show him where it is). You may want to place a favorite toy or blanket (even an old shirt with your smell on it). Make sure he has access to his food bowl and litter -then let him be. My calico hid under my bathroom sink for a month - I had to leave the door open until she became confident with her surroundings. Her companion loves his carrier so I put it under a bed in a spare room with the carrier's door open. That was where retreated to when he got scared or became agitated. Good luck!

I have the same problem with my kitten!
He is a bit crazy too. Was yours a stray cat or properly bred and raised by its mother?
