Unhappy Is swearing around my cats bad?

When my friends come over they swear a lot. And they swear around my cats. This concerns me. I don't want them learning bad words! One day I was trying to clean out their litter box and I was going slower than he would of liked and he swore at me! I'm not going to say what he said as it's not appropriate.

I told him "NO! Never say that again!" but it doesn't seem to help. I'm scared he's going to grow up and have a potty mouth.

Any advice? Thanks.

Hahaha !! You're cute Sara to bring up this issue !! Of course I won't let my kitties live or grow in that 'swearing' environment or neighborhood !

Once my neighbors had a bad fight with lots of swearing fowl words (and the look on my babies' face just sooooo funny ! Like : "What !!" -- then I posted a sign in front of my door, which basically reads :

'No fowl words please -- young children inside !!'

Hehehe !!

The best advice I can give would be to try to limit the amount of time the friends spent there. Maybe try more hangouts away from your house? Explain to the little ones that words like that aren't nice and reward them for refraining from using the potty language. So funny how influential they are at this age isnt it!

It was Buddy. He's getting older, so he's developing an attitude, trying to develop his personal psyche and identity. He even said it in front of Rupert. I don't want him teaching Rupert to have a potty mouth too!

Oh what do I do? Oh well, I guess that's just the woes of them growing up.
