Default Kittens Claws Make A Poor Alarm Clock

My kittens love to play chase like all kittens. Some times they will be chasing each other and one of them will suddenly run up, hop up onto my arm and stare me right in the eye and then bound away like they want me to chase them and be involved in their play. The problem is that they like to use my forehead as part of their running track every now and then when I am lying down too.
Two 12 week old kittens charging across my forehead at a full out gallop with their claws slightly extended while I am still asleep at 6:30 in the morning, has got to stop. To tell the truth it makes me mad at them right from the start of the day and that isn't very good for them or me.

I need to learn how to stop them from running across my forehead while not interfering with their playing chase with each other.

If you know how to achieve this goal I sure would like to know.

Well the only thing I could offer is to keep them out of your bedroom at night and then they can't do the racetrack thing. I understand though because when my sweet boy Oscar was alive he and Zipper preferred running up and down the bed early in the morning and because the room wasn't off limits to them I couldn't shut the door to them at night unless I wanted to listen to them cry at the door. Zipper is especially discusted when a door is closed to her and she'll let you no in no uncertain terms she's upset with you.

My cats use my body as a jungle gym at 4am. I've just resigned myself to it!
If you wish for you cats to stop, your best best (as posted above) is to close them out of the room. They may be mad at you for a bit, and let you know it.
