Raymonds mom is on a distinguished road
Cool Hi I am new here

I am new here with 2 cats Raymond+Jennifer
Jennifer is a 4 yr old spayed rescued cat indoor
Raymond is 10 months old fixed and declawed kitten
who wont leave Jenny alone. We tried spraying water,
we put him in the bathroom for time out we are so frustrated
and need more options. I love my Raymond and Jenny is close
to her dad. You may remember me from last yr I had Philly who
was 18 yr and not with us in body but spirit.
Soon will be 1 yr ago for Philly on rainbow bridge.
Raymond fallows me around like a dog I just love him
lots and he is my baby.
Pls is there any other suggestions?

Raymond is a kitten and needs a lot of interactive game time. To give Jennifer a break, you will need to increase the time you spend playing with Raymond. You need to play with him enough to wear him out.

At least two half hour sessions a day, or go with four 15 minute sessions.

Was Raymond already declawed when you adopted him? If not, and you had this evil thing done to him, prepare yourself for a lecture.

Declawing is a terrible thing to do to a cat. It is amputation of the first toe digit. It is mutilation.

It can cause a life time of pain and deformity.

It can cause early onset of painful arthritis, because once a cat has been declawed he does not walk properly, ever again.

It can cause other behavior problems such as aggression, litter box avoidance and biting. Many declawed cats end up dumped on the street or in shelters because of the behavior problems that develop.

Declawing is illegal in at least 26 countries around the world, Civilized countries that understand that this inhumane treatment of cats must stop.

And six cities, so far in the United States.

I agree with Gail that you need to play with Raymond lots. He probably just wants to play with his new friend Jennifer and is getting on her nerves when she just wants a bit of peace and quiet. I think if you give him lots of attention to use up his energy this will work better than giving him 'time out'.
Do the two of them get on well most of the time? How long have you had Raymond? Jennifer may just need a bit more time to adjust to her little brother.
