Default Playing cat at night!

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and could give me some advice. My cat has started wanting to play at night when I am trying to sleep. She runs all over the house , jumps on my bed, and trys waking me up to give her attention and play with her. Thank you for any help!

I really don't have any advice for you other than to ignore her and let her run as she pleases. She will eventually get the hint that you don't want to play and that it is bed time.

Thanks , I have not tried, that. I usually just try petting her to calm her down and it does not work. So maybe she is starting to think if she plays at night I will give her attention because I pet her. I will just try and totally ignore, hopefully that will work after a few nights!

hehe Good Luck. Just don't expect it to change over night. In a way they behave alot like a baby does. My youngest whom is going to be 6 months had her nights and days turned around and it sounds like your kitty does too. Encourage her to play during the day and sleep at night.

LOL I have been through this before when my daughter was a baby. Never thought I would be going through this with my cat!

Same as babies.
Cats and babies don't want to sleep at night, just want to play with you.
I have no advice for this, but a good tip could be play with them at day, and to they be tired at night and sleep finally.

I just put my cat into a crate right next to my bed, he meowed a bit, but he quickly got onto a regular sleep schedule and now sleeps right next to me every night.

Our cats are outdoor and indoor cats. They spend their time during the day sleeping and at night they are up and about and nowhere to be found.

catfish mine sounds like yours, especially during the summer when it is hot during the day he will sleep all day and then go out at night when the air is cooler.
