Default Help!! cat pee problem

need some help here. have a maine-coon mix that started to pee in certain spots of the house. we have cured her of all her places except one and that's what we need help with. its in the computer room, same spot all the time. no matter what is sitting there, she pee's in the same spot. problem is, its not all the time. this last episode she had gone almost a month with no problems and then yesterday whamo! nothing had changed in the room. we have had the carpets cleaned with special "cat" stuff. i spray at least once a week with natures miracle also.

so, we are going to close the room off to her, problem is, its at the end of the house and we open the window in the room for some real nice cross ventilation. with the door closed thats not going to happen and we really want it to happen i was thinking of replacing the door with a louvered one but cant find one that has adjustable louvers. was thinking of even using a screen door but am afraid she will get her claws stuck in the mesh while we are gone.

any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Default

Have you changed the brand of litter or anything else. We had and our cat started doing peeing on the rugs. We finally figured out she was not happy with the litter we had purchased which was suppose to be the best!!! so now back to Armour Hammer litter.

Unhappy

nope, she's been using feline pine for the last at least 8-9 years. she has also been checked by the vet and everything is fine. so trying to figure out a way to block the door yet let ventilation through. a louvered bfi-fold door would be fine but nowadays the slats aren't movable, just fixed, and i don't think it would allow enough air through
