Biological samples used for the determination of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity are usually stored at -80 degrees C; however, the effect on enzyme activity of varying storage conditions is not well documented. Marshall et al assess the effect of storage at -80 degrees C on the activity of erythrocyte SOD and whole blood GSH-Px in feline samples.
