Default The Cat Who Dropped A Bombshell (Cat Who...)

"James Qwilleran and his famous felines, Koko and Yum Yum, are back for another mystery-solving stint in the beloved bestselling Cat Who . . . series. While the town of Pickax is swept up in its sesquicentennial celebrations, Koko has developed a strange new hobby: He drops himself from balconies, occasionally landing in the oddest of places. When a young man comes to visit his wealthy relatives, Koko plummets straight onto his head! Meanwhile, a hurricane is brewing, and the visitor's family members soon fall deathly ill. Qwill has his work cut out for him as Pickax-as foreshadowed by Koko-is about to be hit by a bombshell."
Customer Review: Cat who dropped a bombshell
According to the information I saw on LJB she was born in 1916 which would make her only 90. I agree her books are not as good as they used to be but like many others I enjoy a new once a year visit with Qwill and friends. It is more of a fluff book that a mystery but a nice light read. I think she should have made more out of the deaths of Homer Tibbits and Liz Hart. I'm not sure why she would kill off Liz and there is no mention of how Derek took the loss of his special friend. I hope that I can still be breathing at age 90 much less able to write a novel. I think this one is actually better than the last couple. I own every one she has written and love to reread them when I have a chance.
Customer Review: Thanks for the Memories but Enough is Enough
I'm confused by those who rated this book 4 and 5 stars. Did we read the same book? Have you read her earlier books? There is no comparison. I've been dissatisfied with the last 4 entries. I will not be buying any more books nor will I waste my time reading them. I will however re-read the excellent earlier stories. Thanks Lilian, I'll miss you.
