Angry Breeding for the first time...

I have some questions regarding my cat named BABY. I am sorry If i have posted this topic in the wrong section.

My cat is 5 years old and i have never breeded or mated her. Her heat season just came a few days a go so i decided to get a male cat from my friend to breed her.
The male cat just arrived last night and my problems and concerns have just begun. I will list all of them.

First of all my cat has never been around other cats... she likes staying indoors and only goes out with my supervision. She is a bit pampered by my family and has a bit of an attitude problem.

When i introduced her to the male cat named HINKO, she was a bit surprised to see another being like her at home. Well as it was late at night i only let them together for an hour but in morning i consulted my Vet and he advised me to let them be alone in room for some time. So i did leave them alone and my cat started hissing at the male cat. The male cat is pretty calm and just sleeps in one corner while she stays alert in the room. they are not getting near each other and just sleep in the two corners of the room.

I am a bit worried about my cat because the Vet told me that they might fight a bit which is daunting for me as i have never seen my cat fight with another.

At the moment i have left them alone in a room. Please advice me what should i do.

Waiting for any replies...
Laila

My cats name is Baby. I don't know i think its is a natural process of life and she has a right to go through it. I love my cat to the core of my heart. She has not been around other cats at all and i thought if i breed her and when she gives birth than she will have someone. She is at the moment in her heat season... and just some time ago she wanted to come out the room where the male cat is... i think she doesn't like him or something.

Most people will tell you not to breed her,you would be advised to give a forever home to one or two of the many cats that are abandoned in shelters.
My girl Dylan escaped and got pregnant just before her 1st birthday, and she had 4 gorgeous kittens, two of them I kept. And the other two I gave to my friend.
It was a wonderful experience, being at the birth, and growing to love her babies.
But as soon as I could,I had her fixed.I didn't want her to go through it again.xxxxx

I don't think you should breed 'Baby' it is necessary to breed cats, but it is essential that you get her spayed and quick, there are all sorts of problems with not having cats spayed, including cancer of the uterus which you really don't want for you baby!

Well it is probably too late now, but PLEASE REMOVE THE MALE AND DO NOT BREED YOUR CAT.

It is NOT a "natural function" that a cat needs to be fulfilled. Mating HURTS the female, carrying a litter at her age is very dangerous, and she could die giving birth.

Not to mention there are thousands upon thousands of unwanted kittens already. go to any shelter and see all the unwanted cats.

Please, get your female spayed. five years of endless heats is enough to put her through. She is at risk for a fatal infection called pyometra(infection of the uterus) and uterine cancer.

And tell whoever belongs to the male cat to get him neutered. Anyone with an unneutered male is responsible for hundreds of unwanted kittens a year.

Cats should be desexed (spayed (female) and neutered (male) by the time they are six months old.

Please do the right thing and have your female spayed. now.

What you have set up for her is cruel. I understand, you didn't know. but you know now.
