Exclamation Is she pregnant?

Hi there, this is my first post, I needed some help and found this forum. My name is Jennifer and I found a stray cat in my neighborhood. I think she was dumped recently because she had no fear of cars. I placed several "found" ads in newspapers and no one has answered. She was timid at first but then I started feeding her and she got used to our family. We were having a really bad storm today and because of her being naive to the dangers of cars, I put her in my garage. She laid down and she looks pregnant to me all of a sudden and I don't think it is from extra food. Her nipples are huge. There is no dried milk on them and no milk coming from them so I don't think she is nursing. She also doesn't try to leave the garage to get to kittens. Here are some pics. What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

I think she looks pregnant too, because of the nipples. Are you going to take care of her from now on? You better have her spayed after the birth. I'm glad you sheltered her from the storm

Yes I am going to keep her and get her spayed. My two other cats are spayed and my dog is neutered. Now I felt for the golf ball lumps in her belly like I have been reading about but they are more oval and oblong. Does that mean she is furthur along?

Thank you for rescuing this kitten! she's just a baby herself! it would be far better for her, and SAFER for her if you have her spayed now, before the kittens are even born or get any bigger.

She is so little, giving birth could cause serious complications, including requiring a Cesarean surgery to remove the kittens.

Welcome to the forum and please keep us updated. What is her name?

Looks like she's pregnant. Glad you've decided to keep her. Anyways, pregnant cats needs special attention, take her to see the vet. A preggy cat needs a checkup to make sure she is healthy.

Default update

So it turned out she was not pregnant but her kittens were under the neighbors shed! So thankful that somehow they survived 3 days without her. Nothing short of a miracle. Mama and all 3 kittens stayed together for 12 weeks in our home and were weaned beautifully. Mama cat hated our dog but she found a great forever home and is now spayed. Two kittens went to other homes and were spayed and neutered. We kept kitten 3 and she is showing Chartreux traits which is weird. She is attached to my 10 year old who has type 1 diabetes. Everytime she hears the glucose meter beep, she comes running to check on her friend lol. Here are some recents pics of her

oops forgot to say ours is spayed as well lol

What a wonderful update!
I must admit that I didn't look at the date when I first saw the thread come up. I was sooo worried, the "cat" looked so young and tiny!
The kittens doing so well after 3 days without their mother wasn't the only miracle, the mama kitty finding you was the second.
Bless you and thank you for saving the lives of 4 kitties and making certain that they would live "happily ever after"!

Thanks for the happy update after all this time! Well done on the rescue of all of them. I thought Jennie was still pregnant when I rescued her, but it turned out she wasn't, in fact vet said she was going back into heat so she was either weaning the kittens or they didn't survive. The kittens showed up (completely wild, about 2 months old) the next day. They were rescued and put into foster care to be socialized and adopted.
