Default Are hairless cats less allergenic than other breeds?

I would love to hear allergy sufferers real experiences with this breed

No, the only breed that is hypo allergenic is the SIBERIAN CAT. Hairless cats cats produce oils and things from their skin, and dander when they lick themselves, so they are or can be more allergenic than other breeds. Seriously, research that cat name I gave you, because so many people can have that cat with asthma, sever allergies etc. My mom is allergic, and we can't get any other cat than the siberian one!

i would believe so because what causes the allergy is the dander and dirt in a cats fur. No fur no promblem!

NOPE! Talk to any allergist, and they'll tell you it's not the cat's dander, or fur, or oils that make people have allergic reactions....it's a component of their saliva. Even hairless cats groom themselves, so what can you do? If you can find and breed a spitless cat, you'd be a millionaire! LOL!

it is not the hair you are allergic to, its the dander. i have 3 kitties, they take a shower 1x per month, just a rinse off (no shampoos) they are indoor cats this made a ton of difference to my spouse who before could never be around cats. she cant be around other kitties but is very ok with ours. also, there is a special breed of kitty out now that is bred just for allergy suffers, but its not the hairless.

My brother-in-law is alergic to animals and it's been hard for my sister to not have animals around her. Her son, my nephew, is showing signs of being alergic to animals. I'll have to check into the siberian kitty that was mentioned.
