American Shorthair You can't tell about an animal's personality whetherit will be loud, playful etc., but I believe you can help shape it whetherit's outdoor or indoor is all the cat's preference and what you will allow.

It looks like a typical American Shorthaired kitten..can't know by looking whether a cat is quiet or loud, depends on their personality. Indoor or outdoor is a question of how much energy this particular kitten has. Most of the time its best to let them in both. Let them outdoors during the day and indoors at night. It is what I do with my cats and they seem happy. Most likely it will have short hair when it grows up. Its a very pretty kitten, btw.

The kitten looks like a regular domestic short hair. As far as temperment, loudness, indoor/outdoor you need to be around the kitten to judge--does it make alot of noise now--well then it probably won't stop--is it too quiet now?--you may have to "talk" to it to bring it's personality out. Does it like your attention or try to get away from you constantly? A cat that "picks" you will let you know by being lovable to you! it will want attention from you and will in fact seek it out. If however it's already a biter, scratcher then good chances are it won't grow out of it! I adopted a new 3 month old kitten in January--then second the girl handed him to me he put his head on my shoulder and looked at me and gave me a "kiss"--I was sold instantly--I had looked at over 100 cats/kittens from November on when my older cat died. This cat was the only one that was good with other cats(dogs was unknown--found that out later). He had an adjustment period(so did everyone else) and he know thinks he's a human dog--LOL His older brother(an orange tabby Knows he's a dog--he was raised by my dog from 1 month old). He was found outdoors and adapted to being indoors right away! So did the new kitten. The older one is an indoor/outdoor cat(it's all in how you raise it--if you let it out it will want to go out). Ask the shelter where the kitten was found and under what conditions---if it is a biter it could be ferral!Good luck with your New Kitty and remember to get it spayed/neutered and microchipped!

This kitten in all actuallity will turn out to be what would be said in between a long hair and short hair. If you look around the neck, this kitten will be a medium long hair cat. Mine are the same way...they look like this now, but the tend to get more puffy hair as they get older. But they are so soft and lovely, I love them more! I have some mating so I can't wait for more little kitties to run around lol
