...obnoxious? we want a pet that does not shed due to allergies and I am not big on cats being disobediant. What are my choices?

You must be joking! If not, None. You will be unhappy with any cat you aquire as it will not meet both (and likely neither) of your criteria.Any animal that has hair tend to shed some over time(including humans). Some shed a great deal (Norwegian Forest cats come to mind) and some are basically hairless (think the cat in Austin Powers).Cats can be trained to stay off of the counters, not climb the drapes etc. but they will never be called "obedient."So, if you want an allergy free cat that obeys you perhaps there is an anamatronic one -- if not how about a stuffed animal?
