In your opinion, what is the friendliest most affectionate breed of cat?
I heard that boys are more playful and friendly but is there a certain breed that tends to be more? If I get a cat is there a way to socialize him in a certain way to make him cuddly and playful?
I do not know of a better breed than the American Shorthair...or a regular old tabby cat. I like boys better but that is a personal thing. I have always had my cats fixed. Fixed cats tend to be friendler because they are not out looking for a mate. Cats do have personalities though and a cat is either cuddly or not....but lots of patience and love should get you a loving Kitty. I have three and they are all different but great in their own way.....good luck
There is no way to make a cat more cuddly. You can make him/her more playful by playing with it (having it chase a string, ect.) as a kitten. I know that the least playful is a Siamese, they are the most picky, cranky, mean cats I have found. However, if a Siamese likes you, they are pretty protective. If you want cuddly and playful, you may be looking for a dog.
my siamese is a real moma's boy. He follows me around everywhere, even in the shower and he sleeps under the covers with me. He loves other people too. My orange Shorthair is skittish and really doesn't like people. There is no real individual breed that is more or less friendly that another. But i have found that neutered males are the best, especially if you are a woman. They are real loving, and very playful.
