Question Anybody ever heard of softpaws/softclaws?

Has anybody ever heard of softpaws/softclaws? Same product just goes by two differnent names I think.

Well here is my problem my boyfriend is very upset at are kitty and he has his reasons, 2 different leather couches ruined numerous carpet holes around house, banisters on stair way all scratched up are just some of his complaints.
He has really been after me to get are kitty declawed (which i am totally against) so i was doing so research on the web and ran across this product for an alternative...so far the best ive seen.

My question to all you fellow cat lovers is have you ever heard of this product and if so does it work?

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Sorry, but I've never heard of this product before. It sounds interesting though. The worst you could do is give it a try & it not work.

I asked my vet about the soft claws because my mother has lupus and i'm afrade that the scraches might get infected. My vet said that the cats claws grow so fast that there not worth the trouble. from what i read online about them, they should last 3 months. I guess there streching the truth. I'm not sure. then again my vet could have just told me that, cuz she was pushing us to have my cat declawed. if you fish around on ebay or do some searches for discount pet supplies you might be able to get them pretty chep, to try them.

Thumbs up

We have been using Soft Claws® for a couple of years on one of our boys. He just refused to use the cat scratchers we have scattered around the house and ruined our couch. Instead of declawing, which was dh's first instinct, we agreed to first give the Soft Claws a try.

I cannot say enough go things about them. One of our strays came to us declawed, but our other 5 boys, all indoor cats, all have their claws trimmed about every 2 weeks.

On the day that everyone is getting their trim, the guy who wears the Sof Claws also gets his "manicure". If any of the claw caps has fallen off that particular nail is trimmed and a new cap put over the nail. Yes, yes they do fall off, but more often that not they "grow out" and just get replaced at the time of the next "manicure".

Really not a problem at all. If we have to trim the cats claws anyway, it is not that much more trouble to put the cap on and by far a better outcome than declawing.
