I will use either Tidy Cat or any generic clay litter. My cat, Kallie, doesn't like the clumping stuff, I don't know why she just won't go near it. She also won't use a box with a hood, which makes hiding the box in our small apartment a challenge. I don't care though if she wants it to be smack dab in the living room or on top of the fridge as long as she continues to use that box and doesn't leave little messes I'm happy. Interesting how having a cat makes you cater to what they want isn't it. And you know I wouldn't have it any other way.

Mine don't mind what kind of litter they use

The clumping stuff seems to be sticky & maybe that's the reason Kallie doesn't like it...

We usually use Tidy Cats clumping litter. The other day I bought some Arm and Hammer brand to try to save money, and when I poured it a HUGE cloud of dust filled the entire laundry room!! I left it b/c I didn't have any other, but I'm never using it again.

If I could, I would get the Tidy Cat Breeze system.

Tidy Cats is wonderful but I don't use it because I need a large amount of litter tray for their 4 trays!

Has anyone here got a Littermaid? How do you like it? Did you have any trouble getting you cat(s) to use it? I'm worried that if it makes too much noise Kallie won't use it and she really doesn't care for clumping litter. But if this thing worked as well as the ads promise I might just try to get her to use it. Sure would be easier that cleaning the box by hand.

Don't have any. But I think it will be better to clean by hand as you said...

I don't even use real litter boxes. lol I just use rubbermaid tubs. Nora is a major litter flinger and she feels she needs to bury her business to China, lol, so she needs something with really high sides, otherwise most of the litter ends up on the floor. My husband even told me once "I love our new beach front property!" LMAO

Right now we have a regular litter box down for Milo to use until he is big enough to jump into the tub. Once he is, I'll put the other tub back down. Come on Milo...grow baby, grow!!

Scoop Away with the crystals that turn a darkish blue color on urine or clumps of poop.
