Default is Iams cat food bad?

Hi everyone,
I feed my three fur babys Iams food and they love it,but i read online somewhwere that its bad for cats and some cats have died from it!!!
I am really shocked to hear that and now i am afraid that i'll do more damage then good to my cats with this food....

Has anybody heard anything about this? What are you feeding your baby's? I know that whiskas is not good either,as it contains too much corn, which cats cannot digest proper, and not enough meat...

I am worried what to feed to ensure a good health for my cat's,
has anybody some suggestions please...

Thank you very much for taking time to read this and for any answer coming up..

Nickie

Im not sure but I think that the 2001 revelation about Iams & animal testing may be what youve read, or is linked to it.

Personally, I did try iams, but they all regurgitated it, so I generally buy hills natures best or optimal care. I boost them up with sainsburys complete mix.
That way they get a bit of everything(plus two wet meals daily)

I don't know, but I assume Iams is good.

The one cat food that is on my permanent BAD list is Del Monte's "Meow Mix". That is the one with the commercial "Meow meow meow meow.." Meow mix aggressively markets their toxic waste to humans with catchy jingles and the excessive use of colorful dyes in the food (which makes the cats sick).

I Wouldn't think that its a bad cat food, and those cats that have died could have had health problems that their owners didn't know about. But I would consult with your cats' vet just to be on the safe side. I just feed my cats 9lives and if you buy any other cat food, they'll starve before they eat ant other cat food. Anyway, that's all the advice I got. Hope it Helps!

thank you all for youre reply's...
I was doing lots of research online and read only good about raw feeding...

I will give this a try,its the closes to natural feeding i guess,
does anybody feed raw?
Raw Fed Cats
this is a very informative site about raw feeding, and it makes really sense.

Let me know what you think about this site if you check it out, would be great to read your opinion about it...

Thank very much,

Nickie

I don't think any cat will die from Iams, but cats react different to different types of food. Some are more sensitive than others and may end up with an upset stomach.

If you want to raw feed your cat, you have to do A LOT of research, because it's easy to miss the nutrition they need and the consequences of that are very serious.
