very sad day today my little girl past away she jumped in the washer and we did'nt find her till it was to late. She was such a great cat we both loved her so so much and anyone who knows us no's that there are kid's...(very sad day) but I'm finding out that this happens all of the time. The vet said it is one of the ...most common ways for cats to die in the home....05/24/2010......im trying to get this out there for all to see so you never have to go threw what we are. we have lost are baby's befor but not like this.. if this save's one cat out there. it will let my little girl live on my baby will always be in are hearts and will be missed so so very much...please look and slow down life is to short not to be safe.....

I am so sorry for your lost of your kitty it is sad. I do know that cats jump into washers and dyers the ice box microwave and so on. I try to keep and eye out for my fur kids to keep them safe. An i thank you for getting this out to the people to make their homes cat and kitten safe.

Once again I am so sorry for your lost BUT she is not gone you will see her run by from the corner of your eye even in passing a cat or kitten will alway keep the humans who loved them safe.

I am so sorry to hear of this terrible accident. I hope the happy memories you have of your cat help you through this awful time.

I am so sorry to hear of this tragic accident. When I got my two kittens last October, I bought a book about raising kittens, and one thing the book said was be very careful before you shut the door to the washer or dryer--do a double check to make sure the cat doesn't jump in. If I hadn't read it, I wouldnever have thought of it. Thank you for letting people know about these dangers.

I know how you must be feeling.

A washer I take it dish-washer.

If I don’t close the washing machine door up tight after using it my cat will pull the leaver open and start sniffing around in it.

I check before using it and most of the time Sooty is standing beside me, while I fill it up with more cloths and washing tablet for the wash.

Cats tend to watch what we do from watching Sooty.

Get another cat and try and put this sad episode behind you.

WTF! The microwave is lethal! One would have to be total Muppet not to check the microwave is clear.

I always switch the microwave off at the mains after use. I always dry the condensation off the inside after each use and leave the door partly open to air out, otherwise it would smell.

Sooty doesn’t even go anywhere near it, despite each time I use it he hears the bleeping as I program the time and will rush in sit on the floor looking up, while he meows.

Guess he wants what I’m having.
