Another thought, is that I just recently saw in a pet supply magazine a new product. It's foam that you use in place of shampoo. You simply rub it in the fur and leave it on. The thought of no water splashing makes me happy. I'm dying to try it!

No water shampoo? What is used to rinse it off? Isn't it harmful for the cat, for he might accidentally intake some of the contents of the shampoo. I need to know these things because cats nowadays need to be cleaned more often because they stay outside most of the day and they got this weird smell.

You don't rinse it off. You're supposed to just dry them off with a towel after you put the shampoo on them. You get it all off with the towel. I've never had any problems with my cats ingesting any of it. And trust me, cats appreciate the fact that they're not getting stuck in the tub.

Some pet stores and vets carry either foams or powders you can use to quick bathe your cats. They still don't like it but it goes much more quickly. You have to be careful not to get it in their eyes of course. I never heard of the wipes either but that certainly makes sense. The nice thing about dry shampoos and powders is that they come in a variety of scents and purposes. I have seen them for silky coats, deodorizing, and anti-flea.

That is so cool! What brand is that no-rinse shampoo I need to know so my cats could be cleaned without the hassle of rinsing them with water. Because sometimes, they do get out of control especially when we need to rinse them off with more water because the shampoo is so foamy. And they cry and that's what I don't want.

The brand I use is Hartz. I'm sure there are other brands out there. But that's the brand I use.

Oh ok. I'll try to find that product and ask the vet also if it would be ok for my kitties. Their very restless and uneasy whenever my mom bathes them. This no rinse formula might do the trick but I must make sure their super safe for my babies.

Default Giving your cat a bath

It appears that this is supposed to be a serious topic but it made me remember a joke I once heard on TV by Steve Martin. He said, "I know they say you're not supposed to give a cat a bath, but I tried giving my cat a bath the other day. The cat and I both really enjoyed it...aside from the fact that the fur stuck to my tongue..."

That sure is really funny softpaws. Maybe you can post more of those cat jokes in a separate thread so we can laugh our heart out of it. Steve Martin is really a good comedian, he never fails to amuse the people who watch him in any way possible.
