Cat Superstitions

We have a superstition here that if you meet a black cat at night, it will bring you bad luck.

And if you happened to swallow a fish bone and it got stuck in your throat, go find a cat then scratch its paws on your throat and the fishbone would be dislodged in your throat.

Know of any other cat superstitions?

The one about the black cat at night cant be true. I have 2 black cats that havent caused any bad luck for me. But I have heard of that one. Now the fish bone one, thats new to me.

The only one i have ever heard is the typical if the black cat crosses you, then you shouldnt cross its path. And if a white cat crosses you, its good luck.

Interesting, black cats are good luck in England, but i know in many other countries they are bad luck

I black cat one is a joke at one time I had 4 black cats the crossed my path several time a day and night

When I was little I seen my dad X out a black cat that crossed the road in front of him he said that if you didn't x it out then you would have bad luck so still to this day I always X out black cats that cross in front of me.

That is one of the meanest superstitions if so..

NO it just means mark a XXXX on the windsheld where you see the cat. LOL I would never kill a animal (Barbie on the loose killing cats Yea right)

X= mark a X where you see the cat cross in front of you NOT TO KILL THE CAT

I've heard of plenty of black cat superstitions, but I don't believe in any of them. Most of my cats are black and they haven't given me any bad luck that I know of... knock on wood
