A warm bed (warm hot water bottle under neath a blanket)Somewhere where she can be warm.A loo - if she is litter trained she will be able to use it, if not it will be somewhere you can train her to use.An clock - ticking under her bedding - it emulates her mothers heart beat.Warm milk and 'mashed' up food - kitten food.Good luck, and remember to have lots of patience, it is as new to her/him as it is to you.X

no, do not play with her alot or bother her the first few days. you may want to put her in one room until she gets used to her new place. give her food and water, a litter box and a nice place to sleep. she will come out to meet you and your family soon, but she will be scared for a little while

a cardboard bx and a wind up clock will help her adjust the box so she can sleep and the clock fills in for mommy's heart beat

If you have other cats separate them for a couple of days and slowly introduce them to each other. If not then keep the kitten in a small room or your bed room for a couple of days then slowly let the kitten get used to the house. They are very scared at first and a big home or apartment can be intimidating to them at first.

She might " hide" under the beds or couches. Let her do it, and try to keep your household as calm as possible. Cats dont like change very well, so find a spot where you want to keep her food and litter box and dont move spots. Take her to her food and box a few times so she gets the idea. Dont try to chase her down or bring her out of hiding until she is ready. Oh and plenty of petting and attention and she will settle down quickly.

Ok well, for a start, keep your cat indoors for at least a full 7 days. That way, she will have adapted to the idea that she lives there, and she will have a keen sense of the daily odors. Dont leave him/her alone for long hours because the cat could end up damaging itself and/or the house (the cat may get frightened if alone at first). If it had any toys, or blanket that it slept on when you got him/her, ask if you could have it to bring home with you (it is easier for the cat to adjust to new surroundings if it has a familiar item to sleep or be with). Good luck
