I lived and dated my boyfriend for 2yrs. During those two yrs we acquired three pets. Two dogs (one mine, one his) & a cat (mine). About 2 mnths ago I broke up w/ him. I took all of my belongings and went to live w/ my mom. My mom already has 2 dogs & a cat of her. I asked my bf (well my ex-bf), I asked him to take care of my 2 little guys while I found a different living situation that would better accommodated my dog & cat. I THOUCHT we HAD an understanding that the living situation was only temporary. Now he’s telling me that he wants to keep my cat because "he's grown attached." I’m not sure what type of legal action I can take. It took me 2 mnths to find a house. I’m moving in at the end of this month (05/0. We’ve only had Steve (my kitty-kitty) for maybe a year and for that whole time I took care of his every need :vet, food, toys, 4 litter boxes (including a litter maid)I provided for that little cat, I love him, & I’m not going to give him up w/o a fight!

Please offer me some advice; the man won’t listen to reason. I let him keep the sofa, the bed, the lamps, all the redecoration that I did to his home, all I want is my two boys back.

Well you should get your cat back but next time make sure and get things in writting. If you go to court the judge might be in your favor but you may also have to remberse him for the care of your cat. See if he'll let you remberse him for the care and get your cat but do it at the same time. He may just take your money. The best thing is try to settle it out side of the court and if anyting else talk to a lawyer and see what they say.

go to your ex's house while he is gone n get ur cats back. if he gets mad show him all the vet bills u spent on them n show him all the things u bought for ur pets n itll get thru to him that those are your animals not his.
